STASSI HENRICH, daughter of Molly and Nate Henrich, had her hair cut by Jennifer Schwandt at JayElle Salon in Milbank, and donated 11 and 1/2 inches of her hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths.
Area youth ages 12 to 15 can enroll in the HuntSafe class that will be presented by South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks. The course will be conducted Monday and Tuesday, August 26 and 27, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and students will have a range day Thursday, August 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Grant County Commission approved a plan to hire an additional deputy and enter into an agreement with Big Stone City to provide law enforcement for that town. The action came during the regular commission meeting on Tuesday, August 6.
Firefighters from Milbank, with mutual aid from Big Stone, Revillo and Corona, extinguished a fire that consumed the contents of to conjoined buildings that housed compressors at Dakota Granite Sunday, August 4. Crews were dispatched at 4:30 p.m.

The Grant County Commission approved the provisional budget for 2020 during a regular meeting of the board Tuesday, July 16. The budget, as approved in that action, will be published in the legal section of the Grant County Review Wednesday, August 14.
