Joyce Strube, age 92, of Milbank died on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at a Milbank care center. She had been a Minnesota resident for many years before moving to Milbank in 1998.
Judith “Judy” (Bunting) Larson, 75, of Cedar Rapids, IA, died Wednesday, September 18, 2019. She was a former Grant County resident.
A celebration of life will be conducted Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Moose Lodge 304 in Cedar Rapids.
Shirley Hein, age 80, of Milbank died Saturday, September 28, 2019, at a Milbank care center. She was the wife of Herman Hein.
The funeral service will be Thursday, October 3, at 2 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank with Reverend Timothy Koch officiating.
Robert “Bob” Thyne, 85, of Corona died on Thursday, September 19, 2019, doing what he loved – working with cattle. He had lived his entire life on the family farm at Hartford Beach on Big Stone Lake.
Leone (Dragt) Scott, age 87, of Chamberlain, formerly of Kranz-burg, died on Friday, September 20, 2019, at a Chamberlain hospital. A former Milbank resident, she was the widow of Merwin Scott.
Ruth Modin, age 98, of Milbank died on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at a Milbank care center. The widow of Cal Modin, she was an accomplished musician and taught piano lessons to many area youth.
Mary (Southwick) Lesteberg, 76, Velva, ND, formerly of Voltaire, ND, died Wednesday, September 18, 2019, in a Minot, ND, hospital. She was a former Stockholm resident and graduate of South Shore High School.
Hazelle D. Larson, age 99, of Watertown, formerly of Wilmot, died Saturday, September 21, 2019, at a Watertown care center. She was the widow of Olvin Larson, and a former Wilmot teacher.
Fran Kruse, age 97, of Wilmot died on Saturday, September 14, 2019. She enjoyed a 35-year teaching career, positively influencing young people in the Wilmot area.
