NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS BY THE DRAINAGE BOARD ON
PROPOSED DRAINAGE PERMITS
Notice is hereby given that Public Hearings will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 8 a.m. at the Grant Courthouse, 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD, to consider the following Drainage Permits. The requests, if granted, would control erosion.
Drainage Permits DR2026-010a, DR2026-10b, DR2026-10c and DR2026-10d for Doug Wollschlager, 16057 484th Ave., Revillo, SD, 57259, for land located within the S1/2 of Section 18 and within the N1/2 of Section 19, both in Township 119, Range 47, West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Grant County, South Dakota (Vernon East Township). The property seeking the drainage permit is located within the North and South Branches of the Yellow Bank River Watershed.
Drainage Permits DR2026-11a and DR2026-11b, for Darin Brandenburger, 1033 280th St., Nassau, MN, 56257, for land located within the NE1/4 and SW1/4 of Section 8, Township 118, Range 47, West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Grant County, South Dakota (Adams East Township).The properties seeking the drainage permits are located within the South Branch of the Yellow Bank River Watershed.
During Drainage Board consideration certain restrictions and/or changes to the original drainage permit applications may be considered or conditioned. The individual Drainage Permits, if approved, would be good until December 31st, 2028, where all work is required to be completed within that time.
All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Drainage Board at said hearing or may file written comments with the Planning & Zoning Officer, acting as Drainage Administrator, by 3 p.m., Friday, May 29, at 210 E. 5th Ave., Milbank, SD 57252 prior to said hearing.
