Worship Services Slated for Holy Week at Area Churches
Holy Week and Easter Sunday services will be conducted at several area churches.
Maundy Thursday is April 17. Numerous churches are conducting services. In Milbank, Living Word Lutheran will stage a 6:30 p.m. service with communion, Valley Baptist will have a Seder supper at 6 p.m., American Lutheran Church will have a 6:30 p.m. worship, St. Lawrence will conduct a 7 p.m. service, Central Church will have a 7 p.m. service, Emanuel Lutheran Church will have a 7 p.m. service, Parkview Methodist Church is staging a 7 p.m. joint service with Big Stone Tabor Church.
In Corona, Trinity Lutheran Missouri Synod will host a joint service with Our Savior’s Lutheran Missouri Synod at 6:30 p.m.
In Revillo, St. John’s Lutheran Church will have a joint service with Bethlehem Lutheran at 7 p.m., Trinity Lutheran/Zoar Lutheran will have a joint service with Tabor Lutheran at 7 p.m.
Services for Good Friday on April 18, are planned in Milbank at Living Word Lutheran at 6:30 p.m., American Lutheran will stage a worship service at 6:30 p.m., St. Lawrence’s service is at 3 p.m., Emanuel Lutheran Church will have a service at 3 and 7 p.m., Central Church will have their service at 7 p.m., Bethlehem Lutheran will have a joint service with St. John’s Lutheran at 7 p.m.
In Big Stone City, Big Stone Tabor Church will have a joint service with Parkview Methodist at 7 p.m.
In Wilmot, Our Savior’s Lutheran will have a joint service with Trinity Lutheran at 7 p.m.
In Revillo, Trinity Lutheran/Zoar Lutheran will conduct a joint service with Tabor Lutheran at 7 p.m.
Holy Saturday will be observed on April 19, in Milbank by St. Lawrence at 8 p.m. Emanuel Lutheran Church will conduct an Easter egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. and have an Easter vigil at 7 p.m.
Easter Sunday is on April 20. Information about regularly scheduled Sunday service times and locations are available elsewhere in this issue.
Several churches are slated to have additional services to observe the holiday. Area churches conducting additional services in Milbank include St. Lawrence with services at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Emanuel Lutheran Church will have a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. with holy communion followed by an Easter breakfast, Central Church will have a 7 a.m. sunrise service and American Lutheran will have a sunrise service at 7 a.m.
In Revillo, St. John’s Lutheran will have a 7 a.m. sunrise service with breakfast to follow.
Several churches will host Sunday breakfasts. They include Bethlehem Lutheran at 8:30 a.m. in Milbank, Valley Baptist at 9 a.m. in Milbank, Living Word at 8:30 a.m. in Milbank, Tabor Lutheran at 9:30 a.m. in Strandburg.
