More than Two Dozen Take Part in Annual LEGO Contest
The Grant County 4-H Leaders Association sponsored the annual Grant County LEGO contest on Saturday, December 7. The group provided prizes and Ol’ Mill Bucks for contest winners in four age divisions. This year, there were 26 participants.
The People’s Choice award was sponsored by Daryl Wieting, owner of Whetstone Transfer. Valley Queen supplied cheese sticks for everyone in attendance at the contest, and Subway provided free cookie coupons for the participants, workers and judges at the contest.
A bake sale was conducted during the contest with the proceeds going to the Justin and Brigette Downes family in support of there daughter, Kimber’s, cancer treatment. Members of the Northern Lights 4-H Club raised $492 was raised baked good donations.
A LEGO table was available that even those not entered in the contest could stay occupied with.
