Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge Seeks Public Input

Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge Seeks Public Input
The public is asked to provide input to the Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge regarding haying and grazing. Officials with the Refuge are inviting the public to review and provide comments on the haying and grazing compatibility determination.
Now through July 15, area residents may review and comment on the draft compatibility determination document that includes justifications and analysis for this use.
Haying and grazing has long been a use for prairie management on the refuge, but a review is required every 10 years. The draft compatibility determination document is available at https://www.fws.gov/refuge/big-stone.
Call the office at 320-273-2191 for more information or to request the documents in an alternative format.
Comments can be sent to bigstone@fws.gov or mailed to Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge, 44843 County Road 19 Odessa, MN, 56276.
