Back to School Giveaway Scheduled for August 2
Applications are now open for the back to school giveaway sponsored by the Grant County Christian Service Council.
The giveaway will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2. A drive-through event, it will take place at the east end of the Grant County 4-H Building at 517 Flynn Drive in Milbank.
Attendees will receive a school bag, school supplies, clothing vouchers and personal hygiene products.
Families must complete an application to participate in the giveaway. To be eligible, individuals must be residents of Grant County and be currently receiving assistance from at least three of the following programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Medicaid, WIC, fuel assistance or subsidized housing.
Application forms for the giveaway must be submitted by Friday, July 28. Forms are available from Jeanne Zeigler at the Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP) office in the Grant County Courthouse.
Applications must be returned to the ICAP office by Friday to ensure that the supplies are packed and ready to be picked up on the day of the giveaway.
