The Big Stone County Sheriff’s Office requests that the community refrain from using watercraft on Big Stone Lake, as a large amount of ice and debris remain in the lake from winter.
Anyone choosing to use watercraft on the lake is asked to respect a voluntary no wake zone until the ice goes out and the water levels recede. Avoiding current water activity will protect shoreline property from damage and reduce the risk of encountering navigational hazards on the lake.
