Waverly/South Shore Students Take First at ECC Math Contest
Continuing their winning streak, Waverly/South Shore students earned first place honors for the fourth year in a row in the Eastern Coteau Conference (ECC) math contest, conducted during the last week in March. Waverly/South Shore participants earned six individual awards in the contest, tying them at 23 points with Great Plains Lutheran High School.
Placing first were Noah Comes in algebra two and Gavyn Jorgensen in senior math. Sam Appelhof tied for first in geometry. Jedi Buting took third in senior math and Samuel Waldner tied for third in algebra two. Elizabeth Meyer was ranked fourth in algebra one.
