Catholic Schools Week Activities Set at St. Lawrence
Students and staff at St. Lawrence School in Milbank are preparing for Catholic Schools Week. The annual festivities begin Saturday, January 28.
This year’s theme is Monumental: Celebrating God’s Greatness. Daily themes will journey through the Old Testament story of Joseph and end with the story of Jesus’ resurrection.
Family and community members have several opportunities to join in at the school. On Saturday, January 28, there will be a 5 p.m Mass and 6 p.m. free-will offering meal with barbecues and hot dogs. Ten rounds of bingo will start at 7 p.m. Parents and grandparents are also invited for soup on Tuesday, January 31, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The celebration continues with dress-up days all week and special entertainment, including a fifth grade band concert, a movie and songs.
