Program to be
Staged in Armory
Area veterans will be honored in the annual Veterans Day program on Friday, November 11, at 11 a.m. The program will be staged in the Milbank National Guard Armory, and the public is welcome to attend.
Preston Fischer, VFW Post #3486 commander, will provide the introduction, and Val Rausch is the keynote speaker.
The Milbank High School band will perform several musical selections and the choir will sing the Star Spangled Banner. Senior trumpet players performing Taps will be Emily Jo Wollschlager, Aiden Ludvigson, Dylan Bohn, Paul VanDover and Mason Cordingley.
Veterans organizations participating in the posting of the colors are VFW Post #3486 Color Guard and Firing Squad, VFW Auxiliary Color Guard, American Legion Post No. 9 Color Guard, Legion Auxiliary President and Color Guard, Sons of American Legion, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 19, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1054 and 740th Transportation Color Guard.
