AND CALL FOR BIDS
MILBANK LEGION FIELD
BACKSTOP SYSTEM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Milbank, Grant County, South Dakota will receive sealed competitive bids for the Legion Field Backstop System.
All supplies will be delivered to 234 N. Dakota St., Milbank, SD 57252 no later than April 1, 2023.
Backstop poles and net shall be a Beacon Model #BSP-L, In-line Lift & Tension, or an approved equal. The footprint of the base backstop will be 40’-0” x 40’-0” x 40’-0” x 35’-0” overall height. A 32’-0” tall net hung above a 3’-0” tall masonry wall constructed by others.
Poles will be mounted on top of proposed wall.
1st base and 3rd base extensions shall be approximately 50’ long x 35’ overall height 27’ tall net hung above 8’ tall fence and dugouts.
Netting Material: #36 Black Twisted Knotted Nylon. Mesh: 1-3/4” Square. Edging: Per specifications
System will include: Netting as noted above; six (6) black painted baseplate-mounted steel support poles with welded top caps and anchors; all hardware to facilitate an in-line net attachment that raises and lowers from the ground; shop drawings upon receipt of order; engineering report with State of South Dakota Licensed Engineer Seal, Freight to the Legion Field site. Installation not included.
No bid or performance security is required.
Bids may be entered on individual company letterhead or quote sheets.
Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 a.m., CDT, on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the City Offices, 1001 East 4th Avenue, Suite 301, Milbank, SD 57252. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. No bids will be received after the specified hour and date.
Each Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as Bid for Legion Field Backstop System. The envelope should also bear on the outside, the name and address of the Bidder.
Bids may not be withdrawn after the time fixed for opening them. The City of Milbank reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularities as deemed to be in the best interest of Milbank, South Dakota.
