Families Can Enjoy Halloween Activities Slated for Sunday
The traditional Halloween events and celebrations have returned this year after occurring in modified formats last year because of health concerns over COVID.
Families will have ample opportunities for organized trick-or-treating on Sunday, October 31. Treat Street will be back on Milbank’s Main Street from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature a variety of community businesses with staff members passing out candy and treats. It’s also a great chance for folks to see the little ones all dressed up in their costumes.
The members of Milbank Fire and Rescue and its auxiliary will have prepackaged grab bags filled with goodies at the fire hall. Youth can stop by and receive theirs on Sunday between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Kids can also register to win prizes that will be awarded in three age groups. The winning coloring contest entries will be on display.
The staff of the Milbank healthcare campus will greet trick-or-treaters and their families at the Avera Milbank facility on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In addition to picking up goodies and enjoying the festive atmosphere, they can take family photos in the photo booth. See the ads inside for details.
