Worship Services Slated for Holy Week at Area Churches
Holy Week, Good Friday, Easter Sunday services and breakfasts will be conducted at several area churches.
Maundy Thursday is April 2, and numerous churches are conducting services.
In Milbank, Living Word Lutheran will stage a 6:30 p.m. service with communion, Central Church will stage at 7 p.m., Valley Baptist will have a Seder meal at 6 p.m., American Lutheran Church will have a 6:30 p.m. worship, St. Lawrence will conduct a 7 p.m. service, Emanuel Lutheran Church will have a 6: 30 p.m. service, Parkview Methodist Church is staging a 7 p.m. with a joint service with Big Stone Tabor Church.
In Corona, Trinity Lutheran Missouri Synod will host a joint service with Our Savior’s Lutheran Missouri Synod at 6:30 p.m.
In Revillo, St. John’s Lutheran Church will have a joint service with Bethlehem Lutheran at 7 p.m., while Trinity Lutheran and Zoar Lutheran will have a joint service with Tabor Lutheran at 7 p.m.
Services for Good Friday on April 3, are planned in Milbank at Living Word Lutheran at 6:30 p.m., American Lutheran will stage a worship service at 6:30 p.m., Emanuel Lutheran Church will have services at 3 and 6:30 p.m., Central Church will have their Tenebrae service at 7 p.m., Bethlehem Lutheran will have a joint service with St. John’s Lutheran at 7 p.m.
In Big Stone City, Big Stone Tabor Church will have a joint service with Parkview Methodist at First Methodist in Ortonville, MN, at 7 p.m.
In Corona, the Trinity Lutheran service will be at 6:30 p.m.
In Wilmot, Our Savior’s Lutheran will have a joint service with Trinity Lutheran at 6:30 p.m.
In Revillo, Zoar Lutheran will conduct a joint service with Tabor Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran at 10 a.m.
Holy Saturday will be observed on April 4, in Milbank by Emanuel Lutheran Church with an Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. and an Easter vigil later at 6:30 p.m.
Easter Sunday is on April 5. Information about regularly scheduled Sunday service times and locations are available elsewhere in this issue.
Several churches are slated to have additional services to observe the holiday. Area churches conducting additional services in Milbank include Emanuel Lutheran Church will have a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. with holy communion, Central Church will have a 7 a.m. sunrise service, American Lutheran will also have a sunrise service at 7 a.m., and Valley Baptist will have an Easter worship at 10 a.m.
In Revillo, St. John’s Lutheran will have a 7 a.m. sunrise service.
Several churches will host Sunday breakfasts. In Milbank they include Living Word at 8:30 a.m., Valley Baptist at 9 a.m., and Emanuel Lutheran Church will have an Easter breakfast served between services. In Revillo, Tabor Lutheran will have a breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
