VQ Cheeseburger Day
Moves to 4-H Grounds
For the first time in its 32-year history, the annual Valley Queen Cheeseburger Day will be staged at the Grant County 4-H grounds adjacent to Flynn Avenue in Milbank.
The community event is slated for Tuesday, June 6, with serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is invited to stop out, enjoy a meal of cheeseburgers, chips and milk and chat with their friends and neighbors.
Along with Valley Queen staff members, youth from the Milbank FFA and South Dakota Junior Holstein Association will be doling out the meals. The youth organizations will benefit from the free-will offerings given for the meals.
Live music by local talent will add to the festive atmosphere of the event.
The families of Grant County 4-H will also be conducting the annual malt wagon at the 4-H grounds from Monday, June 5 through Wednesday, June 7. The malt wagon is open Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
