Voters for Primary Election Must

The 2024 primary election is slated for Tuesday, June 4, and those residents who are not registered to vote or need to change their voter registration have until Monday, May 20, at 5 p.m. to do so.

Registration can be completed during regular business hours at the county auditor’s office, municipal finance office, secretary of State’s office or locations that provide drivers licenses, SNAP, TANF, WIC, military recruitment and assistance to the disabled. The public may contact the county auditor to request a mail-in registration form or access it at www.sdsos.gov

Failure to register by this deadline will cause forfeiture of voting rights for the primary election.
