Volunteers Sought for May Special Olympics Event

Those interested in volunteering for the upcoming Special Olympics track and field games should plan to attend an organizational meeting on Thursday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Milbank Middle/High School lunch room. Volunteers are needed to measure, retrieve shotput balls, guide athletes to their events, serve food, and act as timers, ribbon writers, recorders and starters.

The event will be in Milbank on Friday, May 5. It has been rescheduled from its previous date, Friday, April 21. Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:30 a.m. The day will conclude at approximately 4 p.m.
