Veteran Benefits Information

Veteran Spouse May Be Eligible for Compensation Benefits

The surviving spouse of a deceased veteran who died because of a service-related disability or disease, may be eligible for significant monthly compensation benefits.
There are many diseases that fall into this topic but two diseases in particular pertain to Vietnam veterans. If a veteran spouse served in Vietnam and died of complications related to prostate cancer or adult onset Type II diabetes, contact a local Veteran’s Service Officer. In both cases, these diseases have been determined to be associated with Agent Orange exposure. The surviving spouse may be compensated.
Any Vietnam veteran who served in country and suffers now or at some time in the future from either of these diseases, they may be compensated. This also holds true for veterans who served in the adjacent water to Vietnam and at some time or another went ashore, no matter how briefly.
