Valley Queen Construction Causes Short-Term Detours

A road closed sign and barricade keeps motorists from venturing into hazardous territory near the intersection of First Street and Third Avenue late last week. Construction company personnel have been busy in the area this summer as they make progress on Valley Queen’s massive expansion that is expected to take three years to complete. The road closures have been in locations specific to where the work is being done, and usually are only restricting traffic for a few days at a time. The streets have reopened as soon as it has been safe for vehicle traffic to resume.
