October 17 , 2022

Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Board Members Present: Rodney, Travis and Nicole.

Others Present: Tom

Minutes of September meeting read with no additions or corrections. Motion to accept September minutes by Rodney, second by Nicole. 

Old Business:  

Discussion regarding obtaining a City Attorney; research to on-going. Maintenance completed to pump building and heater – motion to pay for the materials and $100 for time and equipment by Travis, second by Nicole.

Fire damaged buildings on Main Street: work to Thaden’s is on-going. Discussion on pump check for water system – no updates at this time.

No other old business.

New Business: 

Liquor license renewal: motion made to renew and keep fees the same by Nicole, second by Rodney.

Board reviewed the Property and Liability insurance policy renewal – no additions or corrections at this time. Motion to renew as-is by Nicole, second by Rodney. 

Tax Call for 2022 – Remain at $8,269 or increase to $8,515.00 – Motion made by Nicole to increase, second by Rodney.

Discussion on town council members living within the town of Marvin or possibly extending to Marvin zip code – Tabled at this time, Board will research.

No other new business.

Bills: Ottertail: TBD; Grant County Review: TBD; IRS: $206.55; EMC: $4,286; Chuck: $92.35; April: $323.22; SD Dept of Health: $30.00 - Motion to pay bills by Nicole, second by Travis.
