Tails and Tales Program Signup Available at Grant County Library

Signups are beginning for the Grant County Public Library summer reading program. This year’s Tails and Tales program is for ages four, (completed one-year preschool) up through and including fifth grade. Those who have completed fifth grade have the option of participating in this program or the teen program.

Upon signup at the library, the participants will receive their book bag with all the necessary information inside. Reading points can be earned beginning May 24. Children will read and earn library dollars to spend in our library store. An age appropriate activity packet can also be completed for additional library dollars. For fourth and fifth grade participants there are bonus programs they can complete for points to earn Ol’ Mill Bucks.
Wednesdays beginning June 2 at 1 p.m. will be activity time and on June 16, special guest, Jeff Quinn and his Reading Safari Magic Show, will be present. Other activities are Wildlife Safari, Backyard/Barnyard, Artic Adventures, Tropical Rainforest and Woodlands.
The finale party will be July 14 at 1 p.m. Those choosing not to attend these activity sessions may pick up  a packet each week. This option can be indicated when signing up.
