Members present: Lisa Amdahl, Tamijo Bronson, Mark Miller, and Jevon Zirbel; Carrie Rauen via phone
Also present: Beth Hills, Nichole Hoffman, Vicky Gleason, Deputy Steiner, Mike Schmidt and Kaitlyn Christofferson
At 6:03 p.m. Chairman Amdahl called the meeting to order. Kaitlyn Christofferson recognized a conflict of interest with September Claims and contract approvals. Mike Schmidt recognized a conflict of interest with the contract approvals.
Public Communications: The board accepted public communications.
23023 Motion by Miller Second by Bronson approve the amended agenda to include executive session for a student issue. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Business Manager Christofferson swears in Mark Miller for 3-year term beginning July 1, 2022.
23024 Motion by Zirbel Second by Miller to approve the August 10, 2022 regular meeting minutes.  All voted aye. Motion carried.  
23025 Motion by Bronson Second by Rauen to approve the financial statements. All voted aye. Motion carried.  
23026 Motion by Zirbel Second by Miller to approve the monthly claims for the month of September 2022. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Superintendent Report:  Mr. Schmidt reported on the school report card, a pupil count of 181 Pk-12, the proposed social studies standards, city sign proposal, OST beginning, sports numbers, For Life Therapy for athletic services, homecoming and presented the board with the SRO MOU.
Business Manager Report: FY22 audit will take place October 4th and 5th by ELO CPAs and Advisors formerly known as Quam, Berglin & Post, P.C.. Mrs. Christofferson presented the board with the annual report documents. Mrs. Christofferson will be attending the Fall Business Officials Conference as well as the Title Conference this month. Summit School District is now accepting bids for snow removal.
Dean of Students Report: Mrs. Hills reported that 5th graders were given a presentation this month on flag etiquette and attended Starbase, Grandparents Breakfast was a success and Seniors will be attending a college fair at LATC on September 27th.
23027 Motion by Zirbel Second by Bronson to enter into executive session for SDCL 1-25-2 (2) student matter. All voted aye. Motion carried. Chairman Amdahl declares them out of executive session at 6:48 p.m. All voted aye. Motion Carried
23028 Motion by Rauen Second by Bronson to approve open enrollment applications 23.7 and 23.8. All voted aye. Motion Carried.
23029 Motion by Miller Second by Zirbel to approve sick leave contributions for 2022-2023 school year. All voted aye. Motion Carried.
23030 Motion by Bronson Second by Zirbel to approve employment contracts for Jenna Morris, Para $15.29/hr Nancy Pearson, Jenna Morris and Nicole Ebsen Youth Development Specialist OST $12/hr., Dawn Wright, OST Enrichment Teacher, $12/hr.; Dan Gisselbeck, Mike Schmidt and Brad Arend OST Bus Driver $14.57/30 mile trip, $18.99/31-60 mile trip; Meghan Heggelund, OST Coordinator $15/hr; Kelsey Pearson, Asst. 23032 Motion by Zirbel Second by Miller to adjourn the meeting at 7:02 p.m. All voted aye. Motion Carried.
