Members present: Lisa Amdahl, Tamijo Bronson, Mark Miller, Carrie Rauen, Ferdy Zirbel .
Also present: Beth Hills, Mike Schmidt and Kaitlyn Christofferson.
  At 6:00 p.m. Chairman Zirbel called the meeting to order. Kaitlyn Christofferson recognized a conflict of interest with September Claims. Lisa Amdahl recognized a conflict of interest with the employment contracts.

22027 Motion by Bronson Second by Rauen approve the agenda as written. All voted aye. Motion carried.
21028 Motion by Amdahl Second by Miller to approve the August 10th, 2021 regular meeting minutes. All voted aye. Motion carried.  
22029 Motion by Rauen Second by Miller to approve the financial statements. All voted aye. Motion carried.  
22030 Motion by Miller Second by Bronson to approve the monthly claims for the month of September 2021. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Superintendent Report: Mr. Schmidt reported 176 students currently enrolled PK-12, 164 K-12, 10 students currently in Home School. 26 football players 9-12 21 football players grades 7-8, 17 volleyball players 9-12, 13 volleyball players grades 7-8 and 5 cross country runners. OST began Tuesday, September 7. Schmidt updated the board on the Medical Marijuana policy. Webster denied the Summit School bus pickup point, Dr. Sanderson approved the Summit School appeal, allowing us to pick up students in Webster. Upcoming events: Homecoming parade 1 p.m. on Friday, September 10, game in Waubay vs. Sisseton at 7 p.m., dance in Summit following the game until midnight. Coaching openings: Asst. Girls Basketball, Asst. Boys Basketball and JH Girls basketball. 
Business Manager Report: Mrs. Christofferson will be attending the SDASBO fall conference September 22 and 23. The Summit School will be accepting snow removal bids in October.
Dean of Students Report: Mrs. Hills briefed the board on the smooth start to the school year including a successful Sticks and Stones assembly and Mrs. Gleason starting a career exploration class. MAPS testing will finish Friday, September 10. College visits will likely be scheduled in person this year. National Honors Society will resume this year.

22032 Motion by Rauen Second by Amdahl to enter into executive session for SDCL 1-25-2 (1) personnel. All voted aye. Motion carried. Chairman Zirbel declares them out of executive session at 7:03 p.m. All voted aye. Motion Carried
22033 Motion by Amdahl Second by Bronson to change trust and agency account title to custodial. All voted aye. Motion Carried

22035 Motion by Miller Second by Amdahl to approve sick bank contributions for the 21-22 school year. All voted aye. Motion Carried.
22036 Motion by Rauen Second by Bronson to approve employment contracts including OST Coordinator Derek Hills $14.00 per hour, OST Group Leader Kelsey Pearson $12 per hour, OST Group Leader Katie Zirbel $12 per hour, Nathan Bloom OST Bus Driver $14 – $18.24 round trip, Head Volleyball Jacob Gapp $3,518, Daycare work stipend Evangeline Edwards $25.60 per month, Yearbook Advisor Sarah Strang $1,200, Asst. Volleyball Coach Sarah Strang $2,239, Asst. Varsity Football Damon Phillips $2,240.
