Festival of Trees Displays

Members of 16 businesses and organizations have set up and creatively decorated displays for the annual Festival of Trees in the Grant County courthouse. The trees are on display on all the levels of the building.
The public is welcome to stop in during regular business hours and peruse the trees. While in the courthouse, the public is invited to vote for their favorite tree. The organizations with the top three votes will receive prizes. Voting is now open and will conclude on January 4. Voting slips are available on the first and second floors.
Organizations represented are Big Stone American Legion Auxiliary, Big Stone City Bookends, Boy Scout Troop 45, Grant County Community Health and Visiting Neighbor, Grant County Library, Junior Busy Bees 4-H Club, Kountry Kids 4-H Club, Milbank American Legion Auxiliary, Northern Lights 4-H Club, Orphan Grain Train, Saddle Pals 4-H Club, Stateline 4-H Club, Stockholm & Strandburg American Legion Auxiliary, Valley Queen Cheese, Whetstone Valley Electric Cooperative – Life Safety Monitors, and Young Explorers 4-H Club.
“The purpose of Festival of Trees is for community businesses and organizations to showcase the opportunities they provide and/or collect items for local charities,” said Sara Koepke, Grant County 4-H youth program advisor and Festival of Trees coordinator. Several organizations are collecting donations for the holiday season to spread cheer throughout the local area, county, state and nation. Those looking for ways to give this holiday season might consider the following organizations and their collection drives:
