School Open House Information
Milbank School Registration, Important Dates Reiterated
Families in the Milbank School District are reminded of several important dates as the opening of the new school year approaches.
Registration for students in the Milbank public school will be Monday, August 10, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, August 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration for all students, regardless of grade level, will be in the Milbank Elementary School gym. Students and parents in all grades are asked to report during that time.

The families of St. Lawrence Catholic School will participate in registration and an open house on Wednesday, August 12. For details specific to St. Lawrence, call 605-432-5673.
There will be an open house in the Milbank Elementary School open to all students and parents on Thursday, August 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. Those who attend will see the classrooms and visit with the staff.
Milbank Middle School will have an orientation for all students in grade six and any new middle school students to the district and their parents on Thursday, August 13, at 5:30 p.m. in the theater. In addition, there will be an open house for students in grades six, seven, and eight, and their parents after orientation, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Milbank High School is having a meeting for all ninth graders and their parents on Monday, August 17, at 6 p.m. in the theater.
The meeting for all seasons athletes and their parents had not been announced at the time this was written. Families are advised to watch the school website, Facebook, and the school app for updates.
High school band students should report to the band room during registration for band uniform fitting. Mrs. Karels will be available both days in the band room. Anyone unable to attend during registration should contact Karels. Parents of freshmen band students are encouraged to attend uniform fitting to visit briefly with Karels.
High school band students will have the first band rehearsal on Thursday, August 13, from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
Students in the Milbank School District will report for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 18, at 8:15 a.m.

Summit School Sets Open House
The families of the Summit School District are welcome to attend an open house on Tuesday, August 11. The event is from 3 to 6 p.m. According to Mike Schmidt, superintendent, the open house will be a great opportunity to gather information about the school year, buy activity tickets, meet the teachers, and fill out necessary forms.
The first day of classes at Summit will be Tuesday, August 18.
Open House Set
at Wilmot School
The students, parents, and guardians of the Wilmot School District can attend the back-to-school open house on Thursday, August 13, from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
There will be a free hot dog supper at 4:30 p.m.
Orientation for students in grades seven to 12 and their parents will be conducted in the gym. Families can attend either at 3:30 or 5:30 p.m.
The varsity athletic parent meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the gym.
The first day of classes will be Tuesday, August 18, with a 1 p.m. dismissal.
