Will Stop in Milbank

Area members of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and the public are invited to join the members of Milbank’s American Legion Post 9 as they host a pit stop for the participants in the Commander’s Ride. The group will be in Milbank at the Grant County Veterans Memorial Park, near the city cemetery, on Thursday, June 17, at 3:20 p.m.
The event, #Ride605forVets, will feature about one dozen Legionnaires riding motorcycles across the state. They will be led by the State Commander Fred Nelson.
The Commander’s Ride spans more than 1,350 miles in four days. There is a core group of riders who make the entire trip, but various chapters also have riders joining and riding for only a portion of the event before returning home.
