Registration Opens for Puzzle Palooza Contest
The public is invited to join the fun at the Grant County Public Library for a fall puzzle palooza. The library staff will host the friendly puzzle competition on Wednesday, October 23, at 1 p.m.
Organizers say that cooler weather may have the public looking for indoor activities, and in the past, puzzles have proven to be a popular pastime and great brain exercise.
Jigsaw puzzles can help improve memory and mood, as well as reduce anxiety and stress, according to Tammy Wollschlager, library director.
During the palooza, teams of up to four people will compete to see who can complete a 500-piece puzzle the fastest and earn the prize.
Stop in the library or call 605-432-6543 to register a team. The library also carries a large assortment of puzzles to check out for anyone wishing to hone their puzzle skills or just to enjoy the popular activity.
