Public Invited to Milbank Ag Appreciation Day
Area residents are invited to attend Ag Appreciation day sponsored by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will be Tuesday, March 11, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Grant County 4-H Complex at 517 Flynn Drive.
There will be a pancake feed served by Milbank FFA members from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. A free-will donation will be accepted.
The public can hear valuable information from speakers, Stephanie Llarscheid and Joseph Prohaska. They will take center stage from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Stephanie Llarscheid is the executive director of Prairie Family Business Association, which has been helping family businesses by providing a resource network for 33 years. The topic of her presentation is Succession Planning: the Make-or-Break Point.
Joseph Prohaska is a marketing consultant for Hurley and Associates Agri-Marketing Centers. The organization helps put a plan in place to help clients quantify, develop and work to reach their monetary and non-monetary goals. The topic of his presentation is Business-Minded Grain Marketing.
There will also be a raffle, networking and vendors. The deadline for applying to be a vendor is Friday, March 7.
Proceeds help support Milbank Area Chamber Agriculture Committee scholarships. The deadline to apply for this year’s scholarships is on Monday, March 31.
