Public Invited to ADA Celebration
Grant Roberts Area Disability Supports (GRADS) will host the fun-filled event, Americans with Disabilities Act Celebration. The event will be Monday, July 27, at the Milbank Visitors Center.
Free Subway sandwiches, chips, and dessert will be served starting at 6 p.m. After the meal, a short program will be presented and bingo will be played.
Everyone is welcome, but those who desire to attend are asked to RSVP by Friday, July 24. To register, call or text Charlotte at 605-949-1424. The event is co-spon- sored by First Interstate Bank of Milbank and the Knights of Columbus.
The ADA, enacted in 1990, is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public.
