NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

ON A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Adjustment on May 11, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. over teleconference via Zoom to consider in full or in part the following proposed Conditional Use Permit Application request from John and Annelies Seffrood on the following legal description: S½ of Section 10-121-52 of the 5th p.m. Grant County, South Dakota.

• A Conditional Use Permit, CAFO03092020, Pursuant to Section 1101.03.10: Conditional Uses in the “A” Agricultural Zoning District #10 - Class A Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations. The applicants, John and Annelies Seffrood, are requesting a conditional use permit to expand an existing dairy facility to house up to a maximum of 6,200 mature dairy cattle (Class A CAFO).

Based on current circumstances surrounding Covid-19, this meeting will be held virtually over a tele-conference platform. All persons interested therein may participate in the hearing.  Instructions on how to listen, view and/or participate in the hearing may be found at http://association.1stdistrict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/.

The application and other associated written materials are available for public review at http://association.1stdistrict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/. Written comments may be filed by emailing the Zoning Officer at krista.atyeo-gortmaker@grantcountysd.us or by mailing them to the Zoning Officer or County Auditor at 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on May 8, 2020. No materials will be placed on the website after 5 p.m. on May 8, 2020.
