Parade of Lights 2021

Public Invited to Milbank’s
Annual Parade of Lights

In the spirit of the holidays, the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce is organizing the annual parade of lights. The event will be Saturday, November 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The public can claim a space along Main Street to view the festive proceedings.
Any business, civic group or family is welcome to enter a float in the parade. Participants are asked to line up behind the Grant County courthouse at 5 p.m. Laurie Folk, chamber director, would like participants to preregister if possible, but no entries will be turned away. More information is available from her by calling 605-432-6656 or emailingmembershipdirector@milbanksd.com
Whetstone Valley Electric Cooperative will sponsor the people’s choice award for the best parade entry. Voting can be done online until December 19. After the poll concludes, the winner will receive $200 in Ol’ Mill Bucks.
The public is also invited to a free showing of The Star, The Story of the First Christmas, at the Mill Theatre. The show will be Saturday, November 27, at 5:30 p.m. Those attending will be treated to free popcorn and free fountain pop. The movie is co-sponsored by the Mill Theatre and the chamber.
