Representatives of organizations wishing to apply for funds from the Grant County Combined Appeal (GCCA) may do so beginning today, June 1.
Last year’s fundraising campaign was tremendous, according to Craig Wellnitz, finance director of the Milbank Community Foundation and chairman of the fundraising effort. The 2021-22 campaign raised adequate funds and allocated $178,720 to 19 agencies that had applied for grants. “We are looking forward to another successful campaign for 2022-23,” he noted.
Organizations that received funds last year have been mailed applications for the coming year, but new organizations are also welcome to apply for funding assistance.
Completed applications with all supporting materials must be submitted by Friday, June 17. Representatives of all organizations that apply for funds will be called between June 20 and 24 to schedule interviews. The interviews will be Tuesday, July 19, and Thursday, July 21. The interviews will help facilitate a closer relationship between the GCCA committee and the applicants, according to Wellnitz.
