NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
ON A VARIANCE REQUEST
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Adjustment on Wednesday September 9, 2026 at or after 4 p.m. in the Grant County Courthouse (basement) to consider in full or in part the following Variance request from Clark Mastel on property described as LOT 1 MASTEL ADDN IN NE1/4 Section 14 Township 120 Range 49 (Grant Center Township).
VAR08182026, Pursuant to Section 1101.04: Variance from Side Yard Setback. The applicant, Clark Mastel is requesting a variance to construct a home addition approximately six (6) feet from his west property line.
All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Board of Adjustment at said hearing. The application and other associated written materials are available for public review at the Grant County Courthouse and at http://association.1stdistrict.
org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/. Written comments may be filed by emailing the County Zoning Officer at steve.berkner@grantcountysd.us or by mailing them to the Zoning Officer at 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on September 4, 2026. No materials will be placed on the website after 5 p.m. on September 4, 2026.
