NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT ON A PROPOSED VARIANCE
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Adjustment on Monday, September 20, 2021, at or after 4:00 P.M. in the Grant County Courthouse to consider in full or in part the following variance request from Don and Nancy Hofman on the following legal description: Lot 6 Gulcks Addition in NE 1/4 of Section 11, Township 120, Range 49 West of the P.M., Grant County, SD.
• Variance application VAR08182021.  A side yard setback variance pursuant to Section 1101.04.2 requiring a minimum 50-foot side yard setback. The variance, if granted, would allow Mr. and Mrs. Hofman to construct a new shed 25 feet from the west property line.
Based on current circumstances surrounding Covid-19, this meeting will also be held virtually over a tele-conference platform. All persons interested therein may participate in the hearing.  Instructions on how to listen, view and/or participate in the hearing may be found at http://association .1stdistrict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/
The application and other associated written materials are available for public review at http://association.1stdistrict.org/grant-county-board-of-adjustment/. Written comments may be filed by emailing the County Zoning Officer at steve.berkner@grantcountysd.us  or by mailing them to the Zoning Officer Auditor at 210 East 5th Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252 on or before noon on September 17, 2021. No materials will be placed on the website after 5 p.m. on September 17, 2021.
