National Night Out

    Milbank’s National Night Out drew a large crowd to the Grant County 4-H grounds Tuesday evening, August 6 when the event was staged in coordination with the achievement days activities. Members of Milbank Fire and Rescue conducted kitchen fire safety demonstrations several times during the evening because kitchen fires are the leading cause of residential fires. Bryan Huber, right, suited up to add just one cup of water to a grease fire to show the drastic results. Other first responder agencies such as Milbank Police Department, Grant County Sheriff’s office, Grant-Roberts Ambulance, South Dakota Highway Patrol and South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks also participated.
