Milbank School District Advertisement for Bids

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Milbank School District No. 25-4 invites sealed bids for individual or combined Bid Packages for the REBID of Alternates 7 and 8 only, to its New Elementary School Building Project, in accordance with bidding documents prepared by CO-OP Architecture. Bids will be received for individual or combined Bid Packages. This is a Construction Management At-Risk (CMAR) Project. All contracts will be with Hasslen Construction Company, Inc., (HCC), the CMAR.  

BID DATE/PLACE OF OPENING

Sealed bids are due on or before Monday, March 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm.  Bids will be received at the Milbank School Central Office, 1001 E Park Ave, Milbank SD  57252. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above address. No faxed or email bids accepted.

BID BOND

Each bid in excess of $50,000 shall contain a certified check or cashier’s check, for 5% of the amount of the bid.  Such check shall be certified or issued by either a state or a national bank and payable to Hasslen Construction Company, Inc.  In lieu of a check, a bid may contain a bid bond for 10% of the amount of the bid.  Such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into a contract with the CMAR.

CONSIDERATION OF BIDS

The bidder acknowledges the right of the owner to reject any or all bids, accept any bid, waive informalities in bids submitted, and waive minor discrepancies in bidding procedures, as deemed to be in the owner’s best interest.  Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of Forty-Five (45) calendar days immediately following the date of receipt of bids.
