Milbank PPE Plans Annual Color Run Fundraiser

Milbank PPE Plans Annual Color Run Fundraiser
Parents Promoting Education (PPE) members will host the annual color run fundraiser. Students will raise funds from Wednesday, September 10, to Monday, September 22. The run is scheduled for Thursday, September 25. Times have yet to be determined. The public is invited to come watch and cheer students on.
All students get to participate regardless of whether they receive any donations. Students receive envelopes to collect donations from trusted family and friends. Top earning students and the top earning class will be awarded prizes.
The PPE hosts the color runs annually. “Members are grateful to the community for all the support we receive during the year especially during the color run fundraiser. It is remarkable to see how many business and people are willing to donate and wiling to have fun with the students on the day of the event,” said Brittney Granquist, PPE member.
Donations go directly to students and staff through various events and services. Last year, PPE members were able to purchase two more outdoor tables for the playground area, complete a two day school-wide art project with Grant County Public Library titled Uniquely You, celebrate Read Across America and cover field trip transportation costs.
This year, members have purchased four tetherball poles and balls and plan to install those in the playground soon.
Members are looking forward to partnering with Grant County Public Library again and the walk, bike and roll to school in October.
Any parent or guardian of an elementary student is welcome to join PPE. For more information, email MilbankPPE@gmail.com or talk to a staff member at the school.
Look for advertisements and notes from the school for more information on the color run as the event gets closer.
