Remind Motorists
to Click It or Ticket
As summer kicks off and the roadways become busier, the Milbank Police Department (MPD) reminds motorists to Click It or Ticket. The national seat belt campaign will take place May 23 through June 5, concurrent with Memorial Day, one of the busiest travel and holiday weekends of the year.
During this time, the Milbank Police Department, along with law enforcement across the nation, will be stepping up enforcement on motorists who are not wearing their seat belts.
“Taking a couple of seconds to properly buckle up can reduce the risk of serious injury or death if you are involved in a crash,” said Jake Folk, officer of the MPD. “If you’re not buckling up for your own safety, buckle up for your loved ones. Remember, Click It or Ticket – every trip – day and night.”
