Milbank High School Students Participate in All State Band
MILBANK HIGH SCHOOL musicians, left to right, Joe Schulte, Rachel Schulte and Ellie Neugebauer participated in the 73rd annual High School All State Band Grand Concert at O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls on Saturday, March 25.
Neugebauer, senior clarinetist, participated in the Lewis Band under the direction of Robert Sheldon. It performed the Aegean Festival Overture, Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral, Pacific Crest and Pas Redouble. Rachel Schulte, junior clarinetist, and Joe Schulte, junior euphonium player, were in the Clark Band under the direction of Dr. Andrew Boysen. The group performed Finale from Symphony No. 2, Smetana Fanfare, Song for My Parents and Tutued Toucan Can-Can.
Susan Karels, Milbank high school and middle school band director, accompanied the Milbank students to the event. Numerous friends and family from Milbank attended the concert, which will be broadcast on SDPB TV on April 22 at 8 p.m.
