The LaBolt Town Council met January 6, 2020, at the LaBolt Fire Hall.  Present were Justin Siderewicz, Larry Erp, Jon Wold, Barb Ellingson, Jan Zuver and John Wollenberg. Mark Erickson and Luke from 1st District were guests. 
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.  The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved.  The treasurer’s report was given and approved. 
The following bills were approved for payment from the general fund:
Northwestern Energy $49.36; Ottertail Power $247.13 (Street Lights); Ottertail Power $7.19 (LaBolt sign); Ottertail Power $161.92 (Fire Hall); Grant County Review $18.76; Brookings Rural Water $25.00; Main Street Realty $100.00; Sioux Valley Co-op $55.44; Ronglien & Sons $872.67.
The following bills were approved for payment from the sewer fund:
Town of LaBolt $312.00; Elite Drain & Sewer $4805.00.
Jon Wold – Levels on the ponds are good.
John Wollenberg – No report
Barb – No report
Jon made a motion to keep the Grant County Review as our newspaper for official publications for the year 2020.  Larry seconded and the motion passed.
There was discussion on the closing of the fire department.  Larry made a motion to close the fire Department effective March 1, 2020.  Jon seconded and motion passed.
Luke from 1st District was here to discuss the pre-mitigation disaster in Grant County.
Mark Erickson was here discussing the disposal of the fire trucks when the fire department closes down.
The salaries for the Town Board are as follows:
$88.02/month for town board president; $75.00/month for trustees; $344.00/month for the finance officer. $72.01/month for person taking care of the sewer. 
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting will be Monday February 3, 2020 at 7 PM.
