The Grant County Public Library in Milbank will host a “Cosmic – Outta this World-Glo” bingo on Monday, October 3, at 7 p.m. The evening will also include a telescope tutorial. The event will conclude the Nasa @ My Library program.
“All ages are sure to enjoy an evening of glow-in-the-dark bingo with snacks and door prizes,” said Tammy Wollschlager, interim director. Ten dollars in Ol’ Mill Bucks will be rewarded to bingo game winners.
A backward drawing will be the main door prize at the event. The names of the attendees will be pulled from the hat throughout the evening, with the final undrawn name winning $50 in Ol’ Mill Bucks. Must be present to win.
After the bingo, Hans Sacrison, a local space enthusiast, will give a brief telescope tutorial to demonstrate how the library’s telescopes work. Library patrons can check out two telescopes that were purchased through the NASA @ My Library Grant given through the American Library Association. “NASA is accomplishing amazing things in space, and the grant was given to promote those efforts,” said Wollschlager.
The library hosted many events, including rocket launching and science experiments centered around space exploration as part of the NASA @ My Library program.
