Foster Care/Adoption Group to Reach Out on Day of Prayer

A group of community members who have a passion for building and supporting families through foster care and adoption have formed the group, Building Our Families. The group will offer educational and outreach events.

Area churches will be offering handouts and highlighting prayer concerns on Sunday, November 10, which is Global Day of Prayer, also known as Stand Sunday and Orphan Sunday.

The group’s mission statement is, “Inspired by Christ’s love, we mobilize and equip local churches and families to support the Northeast South Dakota foster care community.” The group plans to promote the foster care community through support and education of families to meet their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs.
