Entries Welcome for Homecoming Parade Friday
Organizers are preparing for the Milbank High School homecoming parade that will be on Friday, September 13, beginning at 2 p.m. Any family, business or organization that is interested in having a float in the parade should contact Heidi Wellnitz at heidi.wellnitz@k12.sd.us for more information.
The parade entries will line up on Flynn Drive, facing south. The procession will begin on Seventh Avenue at the high school. The route will follow Seventh Avenue west to Fourth Street, proceed to East Fifth Avenue, where it will head west to the intersection with South Main Street, north of the Grant County Courthouse. The parade entries will proceed north on Main Street.
The parade route ends at the north end of Main Street, near East Second Avenue.
Parade spectators are asked to avoid parking on the parade route to ensure plenty of room for the band and floats to pass.
