August 3, 2026
The Corona Town board met Monday, August 3, 2026 at 7 p.m. Members Settje, Schultz, and Settje were present. Also present was Mark Schuler and Cindy Settje. Trent Bruce called into the meeting.
JoAnn Settje called the meeting to order.
Water metering continues to be monitored, and the amounts are not consistently matching. More research will be needed to resolve.
Culverts cannot be put in by Hulstein on 2nd and 3rd St. Jerry will look into other options.
Trent from DGR Engineer joined by phone. Meter project is completed except for the paperwork. Costs came in lower than expected. Hulsteins will complete their portion of the main street project this month then Bituminous will come in to pave. Future maintenance was discussed. Jerry inquired about drainage on street by the park. Trent advised that would be a cost not included in the funding. Trent reported that the flood mitigation project looks like it will be funded.
Final reimbursement requests were presented and signed for the water meter project.
September meeting will be Tuesday, September 8.
Cindy questioned why she was paying a base rate for her Main Street property. Jerry advised that since there is a meter there and water is available, the base rate and the surcharge is charged.
