Big Stone City
The Second Street bridge in Big Stone City, located near the school, was closed indefinately this week. Civil Design Inc. has been doing routine, required inspections of the bridge, and the inspection on Monday, September 16, showed major decline that prompted the civil engineers to close it down immediately, according to Kevin Schuelke, Grant County emergency management director. The bridge was up for replacement in 2025.
