A hearing will be held by the Roberts County Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustment in the Commissioners’ Room at the Roberts County Courthouse at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
To consider a request for a Variance from the Zoning Ordinance.
The request is made by: Corey Aas
For the purpose of: Mr. Aas wishes to build a 36 x 48 ft. shed on his property. Due to the presence of ingress/egress easements on two sides of the parcel, the proposed building cannot abide by the minimum setback requirement of 30 ft from roads and access easements. Mr. Aas seeks to place the shed as far away from Bloems Rd and the neighboring parcels as possible. The proposed structure would be set back 7 ft from the neighboring property to the east (parcel #16091) and 8 ft from the neighboring property to the south where there is an access easement but no road (parcel #16097). The corner of the proposed structure closest to the access easement containing Bloems Rd would be set back 9 ft, with the rest of the structure sitting farther away from the road. The proposed structure is compliant with the Lake District’s size restrictions.
